Authorities have released the names of three people who were killed in a three-vehicle crash east of Cheyenne.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol says a tractor-trailer crossed the median and slammed into two minivans in the opposite lanes of Interstate 80 on Saturday afternoon.
Investigators say 44-year-old James Ednie and one of his passengers, 41-year-old Tanya Gooden, both of Cheyenne, were in the second minivan that was hit and were killed in the crash. Another of Ednie’s passengers, 23-year-old Cameron Gooden, died the following day.
Two people in the tractor-trailer and one person in the first minivan that was struck were injured. They have since been released from the hospital.
Investigators say the tractor-trailer may have experienced a mechanical failure.
A memorial fund has been established at First Interstate Bank under St. Mary’s Catholic School, Ednie Family Memorial Fund.
