POSITION: Assistant Sports Director
KFBC 97.5FM/1240AM, KFBC.TV and the Cowboy State News Network
Full-Time position 30+ hours/week, (substantial evening and weekend hours)
LOCATION: Cheyenne, WY
SUPERVISOR: Sports Director
STARTING SALARY: $38,000 to $43,000 depending on experience, plus benefits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field desired.
Experience with digital audio editing software.
Familiarity with video production, editing and live streaming highly desired
Must have valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Must be a team player and work well with others.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
– Gather and report local sports to include area high school, University of Wyoming, Denver area professional, regional sports.
– Produce and deliver local sports reports and stories for KFBC radio and the Cowboy State News Network (CSNN).
– Produce and host KFBC’s afternoon sports talk show “The Sports Zone.” Responsible for the entire two hours, 4:00-6:00pm daily Monday through Friday.
– Live play-by-play broadcasting (radio and television) of local sporting events including but not limited to high school football, basketball (girls and boys), volleyball, soccer, softball and American Legion baseball.
– Work with the sales department.
– And, other duties as assigned.
