The Cheyenne Police Department responded to 5000 Ogallala Place on March 10 at 9:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a 9 month old child being shot.
Joshua Karban, 24, of Cheyenne, was inside his house and was manipulating the slide of his pistol when the firearm went off.
The bullet traveled through the wall and into the adjacent room, where his son was sleeping, and hit the child in the leg.
The child was transported the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for his injury.
The case has been forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review and remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
