90th Missile Wing ID’s Airmen Involved in Fort Collins Incident

The 90th Missile Wing has identified the Airman involved in an off-duty, off-base shooting incident in Fort Collins, Colorado, in the early morning of September 30. The deceased Airman has been identified as Airman 1st Class Marcus Evan Jackson, a security forces member assigned to the 90th Missile Security Forces Squadron, 90th Missile Wing.

Airman Jackson was assigned to F.E. Warren Air Force Base in November of 2023. He entered active-duty May 2023 and was promoted to his current rank on July 2023.

“As the investigation continues, we are working closely with local authorities into the circumstances surrounding this incident,” said Col. Terry Holmes, 90th Missile Wing commander. “Our focus is on providing support to those affected and maintaining cooperation with law enforcement and investigative agencies.”

The incident is currently under investigation by the Fort Collins Police Services. The 90th Missile Wing is fully cooperating with their efforts. Regarding the second individual involved in the incident, inquiries should be directed to Fort Collins Police Services for further information.
