Voters in Laramie County overwhelmingly voted down a $29 million dollar bond election for Laramie County Community College 60-40 percent. The bond would have funded new student housing, renovated the recreation and athletic center and renovated the fine arts building.
There was very low turnout, with only 9.3% of registered voters casting ballots, with 2,381 voting against the bond, and 1,540 for it.
LCCC President Joe Schaffer said he is disappointed in the results, and says LCCC will asses how they move forward now that the bond has failed.
