CHEYENNE,Wyo.— On August 14, at about 4:00 p.m., officers with the Cheyenne Police Department observed a maroon Subaru Outback being driven by Trevor Bertella, 20, of Cheyenne, near the 2000 block of Dell Range Blvd. Officers were looking for Bertella as the suspect in a domestic battery committed in Cheyenne earlier in the day. Bertella fled from officers, resulting in a pursuit that lasted for nearly 30 minutes. Bertella initially fled east of Cheyenne and was on county roads and I-80, however he returned into the city and the pursuit ended with Bertella crashing into another vehicle at 11th St. and Converse Ave. There were no serious injuries sustained in the crash.
Bertella was arrested for the domestic battery incident as well as eluding and was transported to the Laramie County Jail. This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
