The Wyoming Cowboys know just what challenge faces them Saturday. They know they are big underdogs on the road. They know that Oregon is the second-ranked team in the country. They know that the Ducks have a heisman trophy hopeful, in quarterback Marcus Mariota. But if they get too wrapped up into what’s going on around them, then they will lose focus at what the big picture is, and that’s an opportunity to play an elite team, at an elite level. Tight end J.D. Krill says that they’ve got to stay focused on the task at hand.
Wyoming comes into the game as one of the least penalized teams in the country, so they’ve been able to show discipline. But both of their games have been at home. Now they head to Autzen Stadium, one of the toughest venues on the country. Offensive Coordinator Brent Vigen says they can’t get caught up in what’s going on around them, it’s got to be what’s going on, down on the field.
Wyoming is at #2 Oregon Saturday afternoon. Kickoff in Eugene is set for noon mountain time.
