Brian Kozak is the new Sheriff of Laramie County. Kozak took the oath of office Tuesday morning along with his new command staff.
Chance Walkama is Kozak’s Undersheriff while Perry Rockvam and Aaron Veldheer will both serve as Chief Deputies, as chief deputy replaced the rank of captain.
Kozak explained his goal is for the sheriff’s office to be engaged with the community.
Kozak explained his experienced leadership team is a team specifically selected to lead the sheriff’s office to stand strong to protect Laramie County. The Wyoming State Park Rangers completed the background investigations on the new leadership team. Kozak replaces outgoing Sheriff Danny Glick, who chose not to run for re-election in 2022. Other county office holders were sworn-in as well on Tuesday.
