“Take the time now to protect your property, mow your grass, declutter your yards, remove flammable materials like hay bales and wood piles from the sides of your homes. With our current weather conditions and fuel loads from last summer’s rains we have tall grass that is very dry. Assist us by strengthening your safety zone around your house and out building. It is not if but when we have another event like this. If you have questions on how to fortify your property please call us, our team will come out and review your property providing you with how to make it safer,” added Fire Chief Jason Caughey, LCFA.
