Around 8:00 Friday night, Cheyenne Police Officers were dispatched to a vehicle collision involving a motorcycle near the 3500 block of East Lincolnway.
The rider, a 59-year-old male, sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
Preliminary details show the collision occurred as the driver of a Volkswagen Jetta was attempting to make a left turn into a shopping mall on Lincolnway. While making the turn, the car collided with a motorcycle traveling down Lincolnway from the opposite direction.
Speed and impairment are not being considered as factors in the investigation. The driver, a 16-year-old female, was not injured and remained on-scene.
The case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department’s Major Crash Unit.
