The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the identity of the individual who died in a stabbing incident last week. Around 7:30 Thursday night, deputies responded to a stabbing in the 2000 Block of Mary Way. The sheriff’s office confirmed the identity of the deceased as 55-year-old Gregory Meyer.
According to deputies, there was an argument between Joseph Gish and Meyer while in the home of the 2000 block of Mary Way. During the incident, Meyer was stabbed and later succumbed to his injury and pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Gish had his initial appearance in court Monday and remains in custody in the Laramie County Detention Center for the charge of voluntary manslaughter with a $20,000 cash bond.
