The Director of Aviation at Cheyenne Regional Airport, David Haring, has resigned to take a similar position at the Lincoln Airport in Lincoln, NE.

“I am immensely grateful for the opportunity I was given to spend such a significant amount of time at the outset of my career at Cheyenne Regional Airport,” Haring said in a released statement. “I will truly miss being part of such a great team.”

Cheyenne Regional Airport Board President Kevin Paintner says they will conduct a national search for Haring’s replacement, “While we wish Mr. Haring the best of luck as he advances through his career, we understand the need to move quickly and prudently in finding the best possible candidate for the Cheyenne Regional Airport.”

The board held a meeting on Monday morning to discuss both the search process and timeline for hiring a new Director.

Haring’s resignation will be effective August 25th. He came to the Airport 13 years ago as an intern from the University of North Dakota and was originally expected to a six month employee. He took over as Director of Aviation in September of 2007.
