The Cheyenne City Council awarded the valuable city liquor license last night, despite not receiving a recommendation by the finance committee. The council awarded the license to Central Enterprize Inc. on a 7-3 vote. Councilman Scott Roybal said one of the main reasons he voted in favor of Central Enterprizes being awarded the license was the opportunity to bring another business downtown, and that they have all the resources already in place to begin their business.
Those statements were echoed by Councilman Mark Rinne, who added, that the business, which will be located on 17th street, will be another addition to restaurant row. In addition, having more foot traffic in downtown will bring more revenue to the area, while also making it safer.
Prior to awarding Central Enterprizes Inc. the license, the council considered and voted down awarding the license to Chet Haulbertson LLC, whose project will be in the West Edge district.
