The latest craze has some people putting themselves in harm’s way. The Pokemon Go game encourages people to travel around their area and capture virtual Pokemon creatures while looking at their phones. The game has had people walking into streets in pursuit of the characters. They have also entered parks and cemeteries while closed. Dan Long, of the Cheyenne Police, says they haven’t received many calls about Pokemon Go players causing trouble.
Up to one hundred Pokemon Go players have been reported in Lions Park at one time since the game was released.
