Just after 6:30 Thursday morning, Laramie County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Belvoir Ranch for a burglary call. A locked building had been broken into and a Kawasaki side by side had been taken.
The ranch manager spotted the side by side and followed the vehicle until the driver, later identified as Travis Lilly, turned onto I-80 at mile marker 348, going east in the west bound lanes.
A Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper located and attempted to stop the side by side. The driver refused to stop and continued down I-80 at a speed of about 35 MPH. A deputy joined the trooper in the slow speed pursuit. At mile marker 354, the side by side drove through a fence and onto the service road. Lilly then exited the vehicle and was arrested without further incident.
