A Laramie County man has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the shooting death of his wife.
Ronald T. Zimmerman, of Burns, entered the plea Friday in Cheyenne.
Zimmerman stood silently during the brief court appearance while his attorney, assistant public defender Brandon Booth, entered the plea.
Laramie County District Judge Thomas Campbell scheduled Zimmerman’s trial for Jan. 27.
Prosecutors accuse Zimmerman of killing his wife, Teresa Zimmerman, on July 20 because she was yelling at their grandchildren.
The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports that Zimmerman faces 20 years to life in prison if he’s convicted.
