Cheyenne Frontier Days Volunteer Statue Finds New Home on Hynds Boulevard

The bronze statue paying tribute to Cheyenne Frontier Days volunteers has officially been moved to its new location on Hynds Boulevard.

Named the Daddy of ’em All – A Cheyenne Tradition, the 100th Annual Volunteer sculpture was crafted by acclaimed Western artist Herb Mignery. It was previously placed near the entrance of the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum but was relocated to accommodate construction of the new Morningstar Native American Indian Village (scheduled to open in the summer of 2026).

Commissioned as a tribute to the thousands of dedicated volunteers who help bring the event to life each year, the statue features a cowboy riding a bucking bronco, an enduring symbol of rodeo tradition and the CFD spirit.

The statue now sits in a prominent location along I-25 and underneath the Cheyenne Frontier Days Marquee alongside the Just LeDoux It and the How ‘Bout Them Cowgirls statues, respectively. The statue joins a growing collection of public art throughout Cheyenne that celebrates the city’s rich Western roots and those who help preserve them.
