Cheyenne Police Arrest Suspect Following Shots Fired Incident at Pointe Park

Cheyenne Police Detectives have arrested a man in connection to the shots fired incident that occurred on July 21 at Pointe Park, located at 930 Gardenia Drive.

Through ongoing investigative work, detectives learned that the suspect is 21-year-old Noah Salazar of Cheyenne. Salazar has been cooperative and has provided multiple statements to detectives at the police department. On September 4, Salazar was booked into the Laramie County Jail for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to statements, Salazar and three other occupants of a white sedan were traveling along Gardenia Drive and confronted a man who was walking down the sidewalk, later identified as 19-year-old William Nicholson, of Cheyenne.

During the conflict, Salazar allegedly exited the vehicle and shot multiple times in the direction
of Nicholson. No injuries were reported.
