Cheyenne Police Arrest Three Suspects Following Armed Robberies

A man and two women have been arrested for their involvement in two armed robberies that occurred earlier this month. No injuries were reported.

Background and Timeline of Events:

Robbery at Snyder Food & Gas
On Monday, March 10 at approximately 8:30 p.m. Cheyenne Police Officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at Snyder Food & Gas located at 2100 Snyder Avenue.

Responding officers learned that a male suspect, later identified as 27-year-old Ryan McDonald, a transient, reportedly approached the clerk, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the cash register. He left the store with a bank deposit bag and the clerk’s cell phone, then drove away in a blue Ford Maverick pickup truck.

Officers searched the area and found the clerk’s phone but were unable to locate the truck. The area was secured, and surveillance video was collected.

Later that evening, at approximately 11:00 p.m. an officer observed a blue Ford Maverick pickup truck parked at Walgreens, located at 1501 Dell Range Boulevard. The officer contacted the driver, 48-year-old Regina Noonan, and passenger, 29-year-old Sarah Harris, both from Cheyenne. Noonan admitted to being at Snyder Food and Gas earlier that evening. The two women were transported to the Cheyenne Public Safety Center for questioning.

Inside the truck, officers found clothing that McDonald was seen wearing during the robbery and a bank deposit bag.

During the interview, the two women made statements purposely misleading detectives and hindering the investigation. Detectives believe that they aided McDonald in fleeing the scene of the robbery and accepted money from him after.

Three probable cause affidavits were sent to the District Attorney for charges related to the robbery. Warrants were later issued for the arrest of Harris, Noonan, and McDonald.

Noonan’s Arrest
An arrest warrant for Regina Noonan was issued on March 19. Through investigative work, it
was determined that she was at a residence in the 1500 block of Oak Court. On March 20,
officers observed Noonan leaving the home and placed her under arrest without incident.
She was booked into the Laramie County Jail on a felony charge of accessory after the fact.

Robbery at C-Mart Smoke Shop
On Friday, March 21 at approximately 10:00 p.m. Cheyenne Police Officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at C-Mart & Smoke Shop located at 314 Dell Range Boulevard.

Security camera footage captured a suspect matching McDonald’s description brandishing a firearm and demanding money from the register. He left the store with cash, merchandise, and the clerk’s cell phone.

Officers arrived within minutes and secured the scene but were unable to locate McDonald.

McDonald and Harris Arrested
A coordinated effort by Cheyenne Police Detectives, the CPD’s Community Action Team, Crime Prevention Team, and the U.S. Marshals Service led to the successful location and arrest of McDonald and Harris.

Following an extensive investigation and multiple surveillance operations, on March 25, officers took both suspects into custody near the intersection of Johnson Avenue and East 9th Street.

McDonald and Harris were subsequently booked into the Laramie County Jail on the following charges:

  • Ryan McDonald: Theft of over $1,000 and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
  • Sarah Harris: Felony accessory after the fact.
