Cheyenne Resident Sentenced on Meth Charges

The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office reports 36-year-old John Darryl Hill, of Cheyenne, was sentenced to 51 months’ imprisonment for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Chief U.S. District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl imposed the sentence on January 29th. According to court documents, on July 21st, 2023, Hill was contacted by a Sheriff’s deputy regarding a state warrant for his arrest.

During the encounter, Hill handed over a case containing 77 grams of methamphetamine and packaging material. On November 1st, 2023, Hill pled guilty to possessing methamphetamine and admitted to selling drugs.

The crime as investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy J. Forwood.
