VA 11-14-17
The Cheyenne Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the Wyoming Department of Health are teaming up to provide influenza vaccinations on Wednesday, Nov. 15, beginning at 7 a.m. in the Medical Center Auditorium, located on the lower level of the facility, 2360 E. Pershing Blvd., in Cheyenne.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 12,000 to 56,000 people have died from seasonal flu in the U.S. each year between 2010 and 2014. They recommend that everyone older than 6 months get a flu shot each year.
Veterans with their VA identification card will receive their vaccinations for free, while most insurance companies are accepted for non-Veterans. The cost for the vaccination without insurance is $41.
