City Announces Trash and Recycle Schedule for Columbus Day

The City of Cheyenne has announced the trash and recycle pick-up schedule for Columbus Day on Monday, Oct. 9.

Scheduled trash, recycling, and yard waste pick-up that day will instead take place on Saturday, Oct. 7. Please have your containers out by 6 a.m.

The Solid Waste Transfer Station and the Happy Jack Landfill (1416 Happy Jack Road) will be closed Monday, Oct. 9 and reopen on Tuesday, Oct. 10.

Household Hazardous Waste (220 N. College Drive) will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 9-10, and reopen on Wednesday, Oct. 11.

The Compost Facility (3714 Windmill Road) will follow its regular schedule and be open Tuesday, Oct. 10.

The Sanitation Division Office will be available by phone only on Oct. 9.

The Municipal Building (2101 O’Neil Ave.) and other City offices will remain open on Columbus Day.
