Duo Arrested in Laramie County Burglary Investigation

The investigation began on April 22 with a burglary call in the 1900 block of County Road 244. On April 28th, another burglary was reported in the 1400 block of County Road 228, this time the suspects were caught on camera.

The photos depicted two males arriving in a Toyota 4Runner. Photos of the suspects were posted on the
Laramie County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page and tips immediately started coming in. Tips lead
deputies to identify 48-year-old Mathew Christie, of Cheyenne, and 43-year-old Ignacio Quintanilla Jr., of Cheyenne, as suspects in the burglaries.

Deputies found Christie had a Toyota 4Runner registered in his name with an address for the registration in 3200 block of Box Elder Drive. The 4Runner was located parked in front of the Box Elder residence.

Deputies served a search warrant for Christie’s vehicle and home on May 13th. Items from both burglaries were located while serving the warrant. Christie was arrested and booked into Laramie County Detention Center on two counts of burglary.

A search warrant for Quintanilla’s home in the 3300 block of Stevens Drive was served on May 25th. Items tying Quintanilla to the burglaries were found during the search. Quintanilla was arrested and booked on two counts of burglary.
