CPD 2-21-18
At approximately 8:00 a.m. on February 20, officers with the Cheyenne Police Department were dispatched to an armed robbery at USA Gasoline, 3363 E. Pershing Blvd. Officers determined that Derrick Dicks, 29, of Cheyenne, entered the business, displayed a handgun and asked for money. Dicks was unsuccessful in obtaining cash and left on foot.
CPD officers tracked footprints in the snow from the scene of the robbery to a nearby apartment where Dicks was located. The CPD/LCSO SWAT team was deployed to assist in serving a search warrant at the 3300 block of Meyers Ct. and Dicks was taken into custody at that location.
This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
