Authorities say an impaired driver caused an accident at the intersection of College Drive and US 85 on Wednesday evening. The Wyoming Highway Patrol reports Raymond Wagner, 39, of Hanna, allegedly hit multiple vehicles and then fled the scene in his pickup.
A witness followed Wagner and called police with his location and direction of travel. While troopers were attempting to stop Wagner, he allegedly rammed a patrol vehicle twice before they both came to a stop. Troopers and deputies restrained Wagner after a short struggle and took him to jail where he is facing numerous charges.
At least one trooper was treated and released for injuries sustained during the arrest. Wagner’s arrest also inadvertently resulted in another crash nearby as a driver was not paying attention to the road and collided with another vehicle, pushing it into a third.
