Laramie County voters will decide on Nov. 4th whether to renew the lodging tax. Visit Cheyenne President Darren Rudloff and Board Vice Chair Scott French from Little America were on Cheyenne Today to discuss the lodging tax and how it is utilized in Laramie County.
A lodging tax was first approved by Laramie County voters in 1987 and has been renewed every four years since then. The 4% tax is paid on overnight stays at hotels, campgrounds, and bed & breakfasts.
Visit Cheyenne uses the funds to develop tourism, maintain visitor centers and support local events.
