Laramie County School District 1 Board of Trustees will be interviewing candidates for Superintendent of Schools April 23, 25 and 26.
The trustees will interview three candidates including:
Boyd Brown serves as Superintendent of Schools for Campbell County School District in Gillette. Joel Dvorak of Sheridan is a consultant with the Wyoming Department of Education and is a teaching professor and director of the University of Wyoming’s Wyoming Center for Educational Leadership. Tom Seigel is Superintendent of Schools for Bethel School District in Spanaway, Washington.
Candidates will spend their day touring schools and meeting with district and community stakeholders.
Community forums will be from 6-7 p.m., in the Training Center, 2810 House Ave., Room A306, for candidates on their respective interview day. During the forum, district patrons will have the opportunity to hear comments from each candidate and to ask the candidate questions. Those who attend will have the option of filling out a survey that the trustees will use during their deliberation process.
Each day will conclude with the candidate’s board interview, which will take place at 7:30 p.m. during Executive Session.
The interview schedule is as follows: Boyd Brown, Monday, April 23; Joel Dvorak, Wednesday, April 25; and Tom Seigel, Thursday, April 26.
