Lummis Questions Planned Parenthood

During Tuesday’s House hearing on Planned Parenthood, Representative Cynthia Lummis questioned the organization’s president, Cecile Richards, about mammogram machines and if planned parenthood offered them.

During her questioning of Roberts, Lummis said that the tax payers have the right to know how money is spent, especially when some tax payers may not agree with some of the services Planned Parenthood offers.

Over 40 percent of Planned Parenthood’s funding comes from tax payers. Lummis asked Roberts if the organization could survive without the $60 million Congress is threatening to defund the organization.
