The person who bought the $5 million Mega Millions lottery ticket in Wyoming has stepped forward. Wyoming Lottery CEO John Clontz says the winning ticket was purchased at the Pilot store in Evanston. The winners are from Springville, Utah, and will get their money in early April.
Clontz says they were hoping it would be a Wyoming winter, but as a business he says they can’t limit sales to residents of the state.
Since the winner is choosing to remain anonymous, Clontz says they will do a little celebration at the Pilot store in Evanston to recognize the clerk who sold the ticket. Prizes will be handed out at the event.
