Scott Noble got Cheyenne South High School athletics off the ground five years ago. Noble will now be leading the athletic department at Laramie County Community College, as he was hired yesterday to replace Pete Cautilli, who left the school a few months ago to join the athletic department at Temple University.
Noble, who was South’s first AD, will be just the second full-time Athletic Director at LCCC. He has had previous stops at the collegiate level, as an assistant AD for facilities at Wichita State and serving as a defensive coordinator at both Chadron State and Fort Hays State. While at South, Noble felt like they did a good job of developing a relationship with LCCC, and says that really got him interested in the job, when the position became open.
Noble feels like the vision put out by LCCC President Joe Schaffer, is leading the college to good things, both academically and athletically. Noble has a vision of what he would like to see happen within athletics at LCCC.
Noble would like to bring women’s basketball to LCCC to join other community colleges in Wyoming. He will finish out the school year at South. His first day at LCCC is June 8.
