Recent Surge in Burglaries Across Cheyenne Under Investigation

The Cheyenne Police Department is investigating a recent surge of burglaries where criminals are targeting valuable items left inside of open garages. In the month of October, the department has received more than eleven reports of this type of crime throughout Cheyenne.

Surveillance video shows a subject that may be connected to the burglaries.

Proactive measures can go a long way in deterring crime. Police recommend residents should close garage doors when you are not outside and avoid leaving valuable items (tools, bicycles, golf clubs, etc.) in plain view.
