Search for Body Continues After New Information Received

Staff 11-16, 2016

Just days after Laramie County authorities ended the search for the body of a 13 month Cheyenne boy, a new search is underway. Last Thursday, the search for the remains of Silas Ojeda at a landfill in Ault ended. Now the Laramie County Sheriff’s Department, along with cadaver dogs and a dive team from Platte County are searching a pond near Laramie County Community College for the boy.

Lt. Don Hollingshead, with the sheriff’s department, says the search began after receiving a tip from interviews during their investigation.

Hollingshead says the search of the pond will be very difficult because there is zero visibility.

Hollingshead says investigators are working tirelessly to find the body of Ojeda. Logan H. Rogers, 23, has been arrested in connection to the death of the boy. He told investigators he dumped the body of the boy in a dumpster near LCCC.
