Two Teens Arrested Following Armed Robbery

Just after 12-Noon on Sunday, Cheyenne Police were dispatched to a robbery with a knife at C-Mart & Smoke Shop located at 314 Dell Range Boulevard.

According to statements, a male suspect wearing a ski mask and backpack entered the store and approached the cash register. Walking behind the counter, he displayed a knife and began shouting at an employee to place cash, cigarettes, and vape devices in his backpack. He pointed to the items he demanded with his knife, then left the location.

Several residents in the area captured security camera footage and helped responding officers gather information about the suspect’s description and direction of travel. The suspect, a 16-year-old from Cheyenne, was located a short time later by a community member. An officer in the area took the suspect into custody. He was booked into the Laramie County Juvenile Detention Center for robbery with threat of injury and conspiracy.

A second teen, a 15-year-old from Cheyenne, was arrested for conspiracy in this case. Through the investigation, detectives learned that the two boys planned the robbery together. This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department’s Detective Bureau.
