The Cheyenne Police Department continues to investigate the shooting by Larry Rosenberg that occurred at the Heritage Court Apartments, 3912 Gregg Way, at about 11 a.m. on Sept. 14.
Matthew Wilson, 45, of Cheyenne, an employee of Heritage Court Apartments, was shot and killed outside of the apartment building.
Gregory Gilbert, 65, of Cheyenne, was outside the apartment building next to Wilson when he was shot. Gilbert was transported to the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, his current condition is unknown.
Larry Warwick, 74, of Cheyenne, was inside the apartment building when he was shot. Warwick was transported to the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, his current condition is unknown.
Rosenberg was acquainted with the three shooting victims and there is believed to have been a long standing animosity between Rosenberg and the victims.
Within minutes of the 911 call, officers arrived on scene and found the three shooting victims. Officers searched the apartment building and determined Rosenberg had left the area. It is believed that after the shooting Rosenberg fled the scene on a bicycle prior to officer’s arrival. A description of the suspect was given by witnesses, which aided officers in locating Rosenberg at Hot Springs Avenue and Chestnut Drive. When officers approached Rosenberg, he shot himself with a .22 caliber revolver.
This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
