The University of Wyoming cross country team will get their season started in a couple of weeks. On September 8th, a special race will be run, called the “Always a Cowboy” race. It will be an 800 meter run/walk in memory of the eight cross country athletes that were killed on Highway 287, 16 years ago. Assistant cross country coach Amanda Clower was on the SportsZone Wednesday afternoon to talk about the race.
