The Cheyenne Street Railways Fright-seeing Ghost Tours will travel through Cheyenne and F.E. Warren Air Force Base this year.
“We’ve got so many great stories out at the base,” says Jill Pope with Visit Cheyenne. “It’s been a continuous post since 1867, originally as Fort D.A. Russell, so there’s lots of great ghosts and spirits and stories out there, so we’re excited to be allowed on base.”
The tour route differs every year and this is the first time it has ventured into the base since 2008.
Pope says that the tour is fairly family friendly, but that it might be too scary for small children and would probably be best enjoyed by kids ages 10 and up.
Tours are being offered October 24, 25, 26, 29 and 30 at 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm each night. Tickets are available now at the Visitor Center in the Cheyenne Depot or by calling 778-3133. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children. Advanced purchase is recommended as the tours usually sell out.
