The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Powderhouse and East Riding Club Road just before 6:00 Thursday night.
A SUV traveling northbound on Powderhouse Road failed to stop at the stop sign and collided with a passenger car traveling westbound on Riding Club. The front of the SUV hit the driver’s side of the car and the SUV rolled over.
The driver of the car, identified as 79-year-old John Lemmons, of Cheyenne, did not survive injuries sustained in the crash. The driver and passenger of the SUV both sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
A Laramie County Sheriff’s Office Major Crash Unit was called to the scene to investigate and document the incident. This case is currently under investigation and charges are pending. No impairment is suspected in this crash.
