Project Prom is now offering formal dresses to local students who might otherwise not be able to purchase a dress.
“We are excited to once again make prom dreams come true for local girls,” said Jean Richardson, Project Prom organizer.
Dresses are available at no charge to students with a valid high school I.D. at 213 W. 18th Street in downtown Cheyenne on Mondays from 2-5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10-2 p.m. through May 2, 2015.
Richardson asks that students only bring one guest with them when they come to pick out their formal dress and says they can also make an appointment by calling (307)630-9250.
Donations of gently used and clean gowns are being accepted along with financial donations. Dress donations can be dropped off at Just Dandy clothing store at 212 W. 17th Street.
Project Prom is in its ninth year and has provided almost 2,000 formal dresses to local students.
