Wyoming’s unemployment rate held at 4.1 percent in April.
The state Department of Workforce Services says the state’s jobless rate is significantly lower than the 5.4 percent national rate and slightly lower than the 4.3 percent rate the state recorded a year ago in April.
Niobrara County posted the state’s lowest unemployment rate among counties in April at 2.5 percent, followed by Albany at 2.7 percent, Goshen at 3.2 percent and Crook at 3.4 percent.
The highest unemployment rates were found in Teton County at 6.9 percent, followed by Sublette and Uinta counties with 5.3 percent each.
Workforce Services says Teton County’s unemployment rate typically increases in April with the end of the ski season. The county’s jobless rate was just 3.9 percent in March.
