CPD 6-1-17
The Cheyenne Police Department was dispatched to the 2600 block of Plainview in the early morning of May 31 for a burglary. Upon arrival, officers contacted a homeowner who observed a person, later identified as Troy Zuniga 18, of Cheyenne, entering his garage and taking items from it. When the homeowner confronted Zuniga, Zuniga began fighting with the homeowner and fled.
CPD officers found Zuniga hiding several blocks away. When officers approached Zuniga and began giving him commands he ran away. CPD K9 Pavel was able to track and locate Zuniga. Zuniga surrendered to K9 Pavel and was arrested for the aggravated burglary and for interference.
This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
