The unofficial start to Cheyenne Frontier Days wandered along Interstate 25 Sunday morning with the annual cattle drive.

Nearly 500 head of corriente steers were driven along Interstate 25 on to Central Avenue ending up at Frontier Park.  Hundreds lined the cattle drive route that started near Horsecreek and Interstate 25 north of Cheyenne.

The cattle drive is considered the unofficial kick-off to Frontier Days.  The steers

will be used as performance stock at this year’s 119th Daddy Of ‘Em All.  Slack competition starts Wednesday at Frontier Park, with the first main rodeo performance Saturday.
