Plans for high school graduation for Laramie County School District Number 1 are getting help from Cheyenne Frontier Days. The school district was considering a delayed graduation in August, but CFD is working with LCSD 1 to hold Central, East, South, and Triumph High school graduations at Frontier Park.

Superintendent Dr. Boyd Brown says local health officials will have to approve the plan, but he seems confident it will happen. Brown says special social distancing measures will be taken, and he says if not for the 19,000 seat grandstand at Frontier Park he didn’t think the district would be able to hold the graduations. Brown says graduates will be provided with proper personal protective equipment, like face coverings for the ceremonies.

The target date for the graduations will be June 12 and 13th. Brown says Frontier Days organizers are meanwhile looking at the ceremonies as a trial run ahead of their event in July.
