The Cheyenne Police Department is investigating a shoplifting at JC Penny in Frontier Mall where the suspects made away with over 1,000 women’s panties. Dan Long, public information officer for the Cheyenne Police Department, says investigators are searching for a male and female suspect that stuffed over $9,000 worth of women’s panties into a plastic bag before getting away. Video surveillance showed an African American male in his 30’s, with shoulder length dreadlocks or braids with metal clamps on the ends wearing a black and green sweatshirt, and an Hispanic female in her 20’s, wearing a red puffy coat and white headband shoplift the panties. Long says JC Penny employees did not witness the incident until several minutes later. Long adds that there are no other suspects, and they don’t have any vehicle information. The Cheyenne PD does not know if the suspects are from Cheyenne, and the case remains under investigation.
