County Sheriff Critical of Approach to Law Enforcement Support

By Staff

Laramie County Sheriff Danny Glick is being very critical of President Barack Obama. Glick, the president of the national sheriff’s association, says the silence from Obama during the recent rash of violence and killings of law enforcement officers is deafening. Glick says the president politicizes gun related crime, like the recent shootings at a community college in Oregon, but is not standing up for law enforcement officers.

Glick said right now those people who have been keeping quiet on issues to start speaking out, and standing up for their own rights in the face of politics.

Glick said if President Obama would step up and say something; if he could stop even one attack on a law enforcement officer it would be a good move.

Glick says following the attacks on law enforcement officers, the National Sheriff’s Association put a pledge on their website asking for public support of law enforcement. In just a day there were over a million Americans supporting law enforcement officers through the pledge.
