Fresno State Edges Out Cowgirls, 66-65

By Kari Eakins – 17 Jan ’15

A game-winning shot from Marquelle Dent rolled off the rim as time expired and Fresno State beat the Wyoming Cowgirls, 66-65, to stay undefeated in Mountain West Conference play. Just ten seconds earlier, Dent hit a short jumper to put the Cowgirls up by one point, but Shauqunna Collins quickly went the length of the court and made a layup to put the Lady Bulldogs up for good.
