Wyoming Game and Fish Department officials aren’t disclosing how many dead antelope they’ve found since poachers opened fire on the animals along a road in central Wyoming last week.
A Game and Fish news release Wednesday described Friday’s poaching west of Casper as a “50 mile long crime scene.”
Reached by phone, Casper game warden Daniel Beach said he’s found multiple carcasses. He declined to more specific, saying it’s likely many more dead antelope have yet to be found.
The release says witnesses saw the suspects shooting antelope with an assault rifle on 33 Mile Road. The four men or boys were traveling in a dark red sport-utility vehicle.
