City of Cheyenne 1-30-2017
There will be a Special Meeting of the Governing Body (City Council) of the City of Cheyenne on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 beginning at 6 p.m. in City Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 2101 O’Neil Avenue, Cheyenne, Wyoming, to discuss “Amending Resolution #5820 approving a proposition to impose the 1% Specific Purpose Sales and Use Tax in Laramie County, State of Wyoming, for the exclusive purpose of funding specific purposes for specific amounts; the propositions to be voted on at a special election to be held May 2, 2017.”
The Special Meeting is necessary to allow adequate time for the Towns of Albin, Burns, and Pine Bluffs, along with the Laramie County Commissioners to approve changes, if any, to their Sixth Penny Resolutions prior to the March 1 deadline set by the Laramie County Clerk to get the issue before voters in May.
No other business will be conducted at the Special Meeting.
The Special Meeting is open to the public and public comment will be accepted.
