WIC is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children. WIC offers benefits to income eligible women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or who just had a baby, as well as families with children under the age of five.
WIC nutritionists and nurses provide supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support and help participants connect with other community resources. WIC also helps families learn how to shop for, prepare and use WIC foods in family meals.
Laramie County WIC is funded by the Wyoming Department of Health and is operated by Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. The local program also has a clinic on Francis E. Warren Air Force Base.
Anyone interested in learning more about the WIC Program or receiving WIC benefits may call 307-634-6180.
WIC is an equal opportunity provider.
