The Laramie County Commission has approved construction of a petroleum pipeline from a site in Laramie County to a facility in Colorado.
The new 12-inch line will tie into an existing 60-inch crude pipeline that comes from Fort Laramie, Wyoming.
According to The Wyoming Tribune Eagle, the planned line will be 27 miles long, 17 of which will be in Laramie County. It will transport Wyoming oil to the Niobrara Rail Loading Facility near Carr, Colo.
The project, known as the Cowboy Pipeline, will also include the construction of a new oil pump station in Laramie County.
