The Cheyenne Police Department has implemented a tool which allows anyone to see crime data on an interactive map of Cheyenne. The data come from police reports as they are entered into the CPD system. Most reports are entered within three business days of the crime occurring. The crimes are then plotted onto an interactive map of Cheyenne, allowing users to be aware of what is happening around town. Sensitive information such as addresses and identifying information are not included in the data. Likewise, the system will not show sexual assaults, and juvenile crimes.
